Who are we?

Our Mission

To help Hospitals recruit smart, professional and ambitious nurses from around the world.

The founders of Universal Medics have personal experience in relocating to the UK from another country, giving us a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges faced by healthcare professionals. Our expertise in the industry, combined with our passion for making a difference, positions us well to lead the company. The team also includes experienced recruiters and professionals with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.

Our Net Zero Commitment

At Universal Medics we want to play our part in reducing our environmental impact, and we are exploring ways to become more sustainable to reach net-zero carbon before 2045 and have it independently validated.

  • We encourage employees to take public transport to work or work from home to reduce their carbon footprint.
  • We partner with organisations that promote sustainability, such as eco-conscious charities and environmental groups.
  • Through these groups we look support existing environmental efforts and help plant a tree for every medic placed in the UK.

Ethical Recruitment

At Universal Medics being responsible and ethical is at the forefront of our values, and we pledge to adhere to the Department of Health’s Code of Practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel.

  • We ensure the safety, dignity and basic human rights of the healthcare personnel being recruited.
  • Ethical recruitment also means choosing the right candidate for the right job, thus ensuring long-term sustainability in our recruitment process.
  • We do not recruit Health personnel that are from countries that are on WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguards Amber/Red list without prior consent from organisations.
